Lugano Estival Jazz - 3 - 5 July 2008
Estival Jazz is now in its 30th year and is once again the highlight of the Lugano Event Calendar. Open air Jazz and World music concerts are staged in the very centre of Lugano City and the nearby town of Mendrisio. All concerts are free and past performances have included such famous names as: Miles Davies, Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles and BB King.

Commemorative ceremonies during the day are concluded in the evening with a concert by the Lugano Philharmonic in Piazza Della Riforma (21.45 hrs) and a Grand Firework display in Lugano Bay at 22.30 hrs.
